WHAT SHOULD I KNOW? -- Each NUMAL procedure is identified by its name and/or by its CODE number: -- a code number consists of 5 figures (the first one being a 3). -- Each part of NUMAL documentation is located at two consecutive RECORDS: -- records are numbered from 1 to 318, -- odd records contain descriptions of the procedures, -- even records contain the procedure texts. A NUMAL procedure can be found in one of the following INDICES: 1. LargeIndex: ordered by section number (systematical ordering according to subject) in which we find: SECTION NUMBER, PROCDURE NAME, CODE NUMBER, RECORD NUMBER. 2. KWIC Index (Key Word In Context) ordered by key word in which we find: KEY WORD (in context), CODE NUMBER, RECORD NUMBER. 3. ShortIndex: ordered by code number in which we find: CODE NUMBER, RECORD NUMBER, PROCEDURE NAME, SHORT DESCRIPTION. HOW TO FIND A PROCEDURE ON THESE DISKS? Find the procedure in one of the indices.
