Running on a windows PC over X (using XMing) is extremely slow, so you will probably want
to run this from a directly-attached graphical linux console.

However if you do so, and this fails to start (displaying an error concerning the D-Bus library) then execute:

sudo killall ibus-daemon

to work around it.
