The LX Z80 Assembler ==================== Usage: lxzasm [-v] [ -h] [ -l] [ -o ] inputfile v: Show Version h: Show Help ( this help ) l: Generate an ASCII lst output p: Pad with zeroes from 0000 until the first opcode o : Use as the output name This is a simple, almost naive, assembler. * Most basic example. This example will generate a binary file containing the compiled program. The default name is a.z80 lxzasm program.asm * Deciding the name of the output file. Should you want to compile the code into an specific file name. lxzasm -o myprogram program.asm * In case you want to generate a LIST file, which is an ASCII file with the opcoodes and the assembler lines. The list file will be named "output.lst". At the present version this name cannot be changed. lxzasm -l program.asm * Controlling the size of the binary ouput. If you want to control the size of the output or the start/end you can use the Assembler directives ORG and LIMIT and use , perhaps the switch -p. For instance, imagine you have in your code ORG &4000 LIMIT &5000 ... So, when you compile with lxzasm program.asm you will get a 4096 bytes file that will contain from the address 4000 up to the 5000 ( hexadecimal ). However, if you want to have a flat file starting always from byte 0 , disregarding the ORG directive, you can use the switch -p. This will create a file with 0 until the 4000 address. * MACROS This feature is not yet implemented, but I plan to
