Graphics demo help information. Type Ctrl-Q to continue ------------------------------- Ctrl-S to halt Seven commands are presently available. These are : Fractal - This command displays a set of fractal patterns to the screen Bdemo - this command runs the B Spline demonstration program. Instructions for its operation are given at the start. Display - displays an 'image' file such as that generated by the 'winsom' package. There are several options for this command so new commands have been defined that correctly display the image file produced by winsom. These commands are called display6 .. display9. The number at the end is equivalent to the value of the parameter supplied in a call to the 'size' procedure within the .win file. A image file called 'brack9.img' is already present; use the display9 command to view it. Winsom - calls a utility that takes a .win winsom input file, sends it to VAX and runs the winsom package there. The user is required to type in his filestore password to let the utility send the generated image file back to his directory. There is at present a null password for the GDEMO directory. The image file is put into a file called winsom.img. The utility may say 'facility not available'. If this occurs, ask GLC (George Cleland) to restart it. Alternatively run the winsom package on vax by typing in the command Winsom :== $cs_cs4:[drs.winsom]winsom and then Winsom Name where 'name' corresponds to the name of the file not including the .win extension. Look: Calls the Caelum and Lucas packages to take a graphics program and create an image. Takes three parameters - the source file, then the options for Caelum and Lucas. Should soon be available on Vax, thus avoiding excessive run times. Splat: Puts out a ".s" file from the Lucas package to the screen. A level 1.5 machine is required. Give the filename as parameter. Screen line numbers are shown on the v200. Iffdisp: Puts a ".iff" file to the screen. There are several within this directory (gliders, bottle, winsom...) and the mandelbrot pictures in directory fractl: are in the same format. Examples.. iffdisp brack9 iffdisp fractl:pic3
