To solve such a puzzle, you transform a starting word into an ending word (usually an opposite) by changing one letter at a time, using a real word at every step. For example, a FOOL can become WISE: FOOL, POOL, POLL, PILL, WILL, WILE, WISE. The mathematician Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (better known as Lewis Carroll) is credited with inventing this delightful word puzzle. REVISION HISTORY: Initial release. INSTALLATION: PC Ladder is supplied as a self-contained INSTALL program. Run this program to install PC Ladder and its associated files in the directory of your choice. The install program will add PC Ladder, its help file, and an uninstall utility to your Start menu. For information on program operation, see the online Help file.
